I have always been wanting to do something for my kid who is 6 years old as of 2010. I pay attention to what kids like to do and try to find out why they like to do so. Since addition is fundamental for learning math, I came to the idea of writing an interesting game which kids would like to play, and learn while doing so, based on the observation accrued.
Kids Fun Math Addition has three levels:
- Level 1 is less than 10 addition, with no zeros. Total 5 questions.
- Level 2 is addition of 10 to 20, with no zeros. Total 10 questions.
- Level 3 is addition up to 100, with zeros. Total 15 questions.
For every level, kids can pick up the question he/she likes.
- When answer correctly, an animal or other interesting thing would fly up to the rainbow.
- When the answer is wrong, kids can continue with the remaining answers. Eventually he/she would get the right answer.
After completing a level, the things on the rainbow would drop to the center. Rainbow would come down too, if all questions being answered correctly the first time.
Given kids the freedom of choice of questions is important as they don't feel being forced to do something. More importantly, I believe it helps them to become active from just passively accept everything given. The attitude helps just more than learning.

趣味加法
這個遊戲是我觀察小孩行為許久後，為了我六歲兒子做的加法練習，讓他可以打好數學基礎。
遊戲總共有三關：
第一關最簡單，是不超過10的加法，沒有0。
第二關稍難，是10到20的加法。
第三關最難，是到100的加法，也會有0的出現。
每一關會有數個問題讓小孩自己選擇。
答對時，會有可愛的動物(或有趣的事物)飛到彩虹上。
答錯時也沒有關係， 因為可以繼續其他的答案。
過關時，所有彩虹上的東西都會掉到中心。如果全程都沒答錯的話，連彩虹也會掉下來。
遊戲中很重要的觀念是強調自己選擇和不使用傳統計分方式。只要不強迫，而是使用誘導的方式，小孩的無窮潛力就會發揮。
